Northern Trust Correspondent Services
Depository Custody Services
Position Reconcilement
Clients who use our Depository Custody Services (DCS) along with Trust/Rite may access data by either connecting via Telnet, the Web or modem dial-in and accepting DCS positions electronically from the securities processing system in Chicago. After receiving the DCS position report on the Trust/Rite System, you simply run an automated comparison report that alerts you to any differences between asset positions shown on Trust/Rite and DCS.

There is no additional fee charged for this feature, and it can be run as often as you wish.

Trade Processing
As part of the trade processing capability between our Trust/Rite System and Depository Custody Service, you may connect to Northern by either Telnet, the Web or modem dial-in to the DCS computer in Chicago and access a data file containing pending and settled trade information. Once the pending, unsettled trade data has been passed from DCS to Trust/Rite, the data input operator need only supply the trust account numbers to Trust/Rite. Block trade extensions among participating accounts are calculated automatically. You determine whether settlement to your accounts occurs on a contractual or actual basis.

Account-level, on-demand reports provide a view of the account's settled positions along with pending items. Additional reports are available to provide views of an account's holdings on a cash (settled) or trade date/accrual basis. Overall pending trade information can be audited through various control reports, sorting by account, trade date, settlement date, broker, security, or type of transaction.

In-FOCUS
Northern Trust's In-FOCUS Investment Advisory Service provides an Equity Guidance List delivered to you at your option through our Internet Delivery Service. With the Trust/Rite-FOCUS information interface, a Trust/Rite client who subscribes to FOCUS can automatically "read-in" the weekly Guidance List to Trust/Rite asset records. Cross-referenced reports are then produced, displaying account level holdings and aggregate asset holdings sorted by our familiar rating codes. The interface provides your investment staff with more timely and accurate portfolio management information.

With the Trust/Rite-FOCUS interface, you control delivery of the data and decide when and how to apply it to the portfolios you manage. The interface provides access to a variety of cross-referenced asset/account reports, including the option to download all FOCUS data to other spreadsheets, so you can create reports customized to meet your needs.

The Trust/Rite-FOCUS Web interface is available at no additional fee to any Trust/Rite client who also is a FOCUS subscriber.
